We designed and developed, with developer Ruben Rodriguez, a comprehensive new web presence for RISD Global Partners and Programs, an office that facilitates study abroad and exchange programs at the school. Our website reflects the organization’s expansion and rebranding as an ambitiously-conceived ‘hub’ for global art education, and implements and extends it’s new visual identity, designed by Project Projects, on the web.
The website is built around a feed of user-contributed ‘field notes,’ accounts of global learning experiences by student and faculty ambassadors that personalize and dramatize the work of the office. A moving sequence of images and excerpts on the site’s homepage is linked together by whimsical arrow animations that playfully extend a motif of the organization’s visual identity into the realm of the dynamic. The site also features a dynamic news feed, integration with social media, and a multi-tiered menu interface streamlining access to extensive content.
